Update
I note that the last time I updated was 7 weeks ago. Ouch. Life has been busy, and I don't always get a chance to log on. I really miss reading friends' pages. Gnomi keeps me informed though, fortunately. I try not to stay up late on-line but I had to just say that life has handed me both gifts and challenges during that time.I'll try to update more frequently . After a wonderful week sharing out super 9 year old grandchild with his other grandparents, osewalrus's folks, life got back to its busy time. Then, out to the blue I had an MS attack. It's mild, thank G-d, but I have run smack dab into a major vacation time - week before Labor Day - that coincides with changes of hospital house staff in July. As my neurologist is on vacation, and her covering physician just went on vacation yesterday, I'll wait til day after Labor day to decide on whether I take steroid IV's. No jokes about pitching better. Cheers to all.

do you find that hot weather makes it worse? i know that's often true for the fatigue, but i know very little.

you didn't put a ban on jokes about better batting, i notice. resisting...

thanks for the comment. the hot weather doesn't help, but I'm pretty sure this episode was caused by an infection I had. My immune system is an overachiever, and once turned on it also starts to attack things that are OK, like myelin, which covers the brain and spinal cord. then we get short circuits.

I chose to wait for the treatments to be sure it wouldn't go away with just rest and to be sure i was willing to put myself at risk of the complications of steroids, which, though rare, my neurologist has drilled into me.

the only batting I do is bringing bats ( the flying ones) outside when they come into our bathroom and hang out in the wastebasket. Only happened once, but it was a topic of conversation for a while. I'd actually investigated having bat houses to attract bats to kill mosquitoes. Decided against it, but I guess the idea went out into the ether and a pilot bat came to check out the area. Not great radar, though. No mosquitoes in the bathroom.

Bats are really small when they are folded up.
